Frequently Asked

Everything you might be wondering.

The questions we hear most often, answered the same way we'd answer them on a call — with patience and detail.

i.

Booking & Investment

For Saturday weddings in peak season (May–October), couples typically book 9–14 months in advance. Off-peak and weekday weddings can often be booked closer to the date, but we encourage reaching out as early as feels right — we only take a limited number of weddings per year so we can be fully present at each one.

Once your discovery call is done and you'd like to move forward, a signed agreement and a 30% retainer secure your date.

Because the right answer depends on you. Wedding day length, location, whether you'd like film or video, the heirloom album, second photographer — these all shape investment, and quoting a flat number on a website would either over-quote couples who want something simple or under-quote couples who want the full experience.

We share investment during your fifteen-minute discovery call, after we know what your day actually looks like.

Toronto and GTA weddings generally start in the mid-four-figures for photography-only and scale from there based on coverage hours, film add-ons, and the heirloom album studio. Destination weddings include travel and have their own range.

We keep our calendar deliberately light — quality over volume — and our pricing reflects that.

Yes. After the 30% retainer, the balance can be split into two or three installments leading up to the wedding date — or paid all at once, whichever is easier. We're flexible.

Retainers are non-refundable, but they're transferable to a new date as long as the new date is available on our calendar. We've worked with couples through weather rebooks, family emergencies, and once a delightful three-month postponement — we'll always try to make it work.

ii.

Coverage & Delivery

For an 8-hour wedding, expect 500–700 hand-edited images. Twelve-hour days often deliver 800+. We don't believe in overdelivering with hundreds of near-duplicates — every image in your gallery has been chosen, edited, and stands on its own.

Sneak peeks within 72 hours — a curated set of 30–50 images you can share with family and post immediately. Your full gallery is delivered in 6–8 weeks. We'll never make you wait three months.

Through a private, password-protected online gallery. You can view, download high-resolution files, share with family, and order prints directly through the gallery if you'd like. Print release is included — meaning you own the right to print anywhere you wish.

Yes — every image you receive is hand-edited by us in the studio. Colour, exposure, contrast, skin tones. We don't outsource editing, and we don't use AI to "auto-process" your wedding. The look you fell in love with on our portfolio is the look your gallery will have.

We don't do heavy retouching by default (Photoshop work, body adjustments, skin smoothing). If specific retouching is requested for a few favourite portraits, we're happy to provide it as an add-on.

RAW files aren't delivered — they're the unedited, unprocessed digital negatives. The gallery you receive is our final, finished work. This is standard practice across professional wedding photography for a reason: RAWs would represent us in an incomplete state.

Yes, and they're some of our favourite work. Our heirloom album studio produces hand-bound, archival-paper albums in linen or leather. We design the layout for you, you have one round of revisions, and we ship a finished book that's meant to outlive your hard drives. Available as an add-on.

iii.

Travel & Destinations

Frequently. We've shot weddings in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Mexico, Italy, France, and Vietnam in the last few years. We love a good destination wedding — please reach out if you're planning one.

For weddings outside the GTA, we add a flat travel fee that covers flights, accommodations, and local transport. We share specific numbers during your discovery call once we know the destination. We never inflate travel costs — you pay what we pay, plus a small per-day rate for time on the road.

Always, for destinations. For local Toronto weddings we arrive on the wedding day, but for anything that requires flying we arrive at least one day early to scout the venue, get over jet lag, and be fully present on the wedding day itself.

iv.

Cultural Ceremonies

Yes — with deep care and preparation. We've covered Chinese tea ceremonies, Vietnamese trầu cau and ancestral altar rituals, Korean paebaek, Indian baraats, Filipino cord-and-coin ceremonies, Jewish chuppahs, and Persian sofreh aghd. We learn the meaning of every ritual before your wedding day.

If your tradition isn't on this list, please tell us about it on our discovery call. We approach every cultural ceremony as a story to be honoured, not a checklist to get through.

Yes — this is one of the most useful conversations we have with couples. Multi-cultural and multi-day weddings need careful pacing so neither tradition feels rushed. We'll work alongside your planner (or in their absence, with you) to build a timeline that gives every part of your day the room it deserves.

v.

The Process

You'll receive a personal reply within 24 hours with a link to book a fifteen-minute discovery call. On the call, we learn about your day and you learn about us. After the call, we send a custom proposal. If you'd like to move forward, a signed agreement and 30% retainer secure your date.

From there: an engagement session, planning sessions in the months before the wedding, the day itself, sneak peeks within 72 hours, and your full gallery in 6–8 weeks.

Yes — in every package. A 90-minute session, fully edited gallery, and your favourite frames are yours to use for save-the-dates, the wedding website, or simply to remember the time before. We strongly recommend doing the engagement session because it's where we learn how to photograph you.

Absolutely. We have two planning sessions built into every package. We'll send you our welcome guide with timeline templates, and we'll work through the full schedule together — getting ready, first look, ceremony, family formals, portraits, reception, sparkler exit. Everything timed for the best possible light.

Some of our favourite portraits have been taken in the rain. We'll always have a Plan B for portraits and ceremony location, and we carry clear umbrellas and lens cloths as standard kit. Weather is rarely the obstacle couples worry it will be.

vi.

Film & Video

Yes — we offer photo + video as an integrated package, captured by a small team that works seamlessly together. You'll receive a 4–6 minute cinematic highlight reel and full-length recordings of the ceremony and reception speeches, all delivered in 8–10 weeks.

Of course. Photo-only is the most common booking. Video is a beautiful add-on but never required.

No. Our cinematography team works documentary-style with small mirrorless cameras — no boom mics, no bright lights, no choreographed re-takes. They'll be as quiet in the room as we are.
